LOOKER DEVELOPER (PROJECT-BASED)
The Looker Developer (Project-Based) is responsible for developing and implementing high-quality business intelligence (BI) projects within specified timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement stable and scalable analytic and reporting solutions usingLooker.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs and deadlines.
• Participate in business analysis activities to gather necessary reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Translate business requirements into specifications for implementing reports and dashboards from multiple data sources.
• Document test cases and create test scripts.
• Communicate results in a user-friendly format.
• Validate reports to ensure data accuracy.
• Design and implement Data Marts and Data Warehouses using best practices.
• Utilize data modeling techniques to define and support database schema development.
• Create and automate reports and Looker dashboards.
• Conduct data analysis for ad-hoc reporting needs.
• Develop user guides and documentation for run management and ad-hoc reporting.
• Investigate quality control failures and resolve or escalate issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively within and across teams.
• Interact with customers to provide technical information via conference calls or virtual meetings.
• Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations and Support Team.
Hiring Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Looker.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following areas:
• BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server SSIS, SSAS & SSRS, Oracle Data
Integrations/OWB, Microstrategy, Datastage, Teradata, Cognos, SAP Bobj, Qlikview,Yellowfin, Jaspersoft.
• Data visualization.
• Relational Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL).
• BI data architecture.
• Data warehouse design.
• Performance tuning and optimization.
• Designing data models, star schemas, snowflake schemas, and 1-3NF data models.
• Google Cloud Platform.
• Logical and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
• Capacity to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks across multiple work streams.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Fundamental knowledge of Agile Methodology,
SDLC, Waterfall, or any Project Management Methodology is a plus.
• Background in scoping, planning, and project management is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Willing to work remotely on a day shift under an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
Willing to start work immediately.
